July 2011
Is it really seven months since the last update to this part of the website ? Where does the time go to ?
July, as always, sees the publication of the REVIEW, with this year being the 24th edition (more details below). Next year will be its "silver jubilee"
The Pubhopper and Glasgow v Sheffield books published towards the end of 2010 continue to sell, with copies still available at £3 and 70p postage each or £7 for the two (includes postage).
Scottish Non League Review of 2010/11

Scottish Junior Cup - 1950s … and further into history
The 1950s Scottish Junior Cup publication was published in November 2010. Although there are still three results I was unable to trace, this shouldn't detract from this massive collation of results. Seasons covered are 1950/1 to 1959/60 inclusive. There is also a club by club record so you can see what round a particular club reached every season. Price is £4.60 and this includes UK postage in a card protected envelope.
Throughout the last year, I have received a lot of help (especially from two individuals) with missing results from prior to 1950, and in conjunction with my own research, have been able to remove a number of queries from my lengthy list, which goes back to the 1880s. I have also located some of the missing draws which has meant I have been able to add some matches to the queries list rather than leaving the likes of "all round one results needed" in some seasons. Work is continually progressing on the queries list which was last updated in June 2011. A full list of these queries covering 1886 to 1949 can be viewed on Brian McColl's excellent online Scottish Football Historical Archive
As it is almost a decade since the edition covering the period 1989-2001, I intend to compile a 2001/02-2011/12 edition which should be available around August 2012
Other plans …
I don't have any definite plans for other publications at present but am always looking for ideas for the Miscellany and Victorian Miscellany series. Please get in touch should you have anything you wish to publish or ideas.
