WINTON grabbed a point out of this game after being 3-1 down at half time.
Kello were handicapped by the loss, through injury, of goalkeeper Steven Douglas, who was concussed just before the interval.
Kello went ahead after only two minutes when a long punt up the park left Dougie Johnstone and Stuart Robertson deciding who would deal with it and their indecision allowed Kello's Darren Johnston to pop up and head the ball over Robertson and into the net.
Clelland and Halliday combined in four minutes to threaten Kello but the final effort from Halliday was high and wide. Paul Templeton then took a neat pass from McCann and after beating a player placed his shot wide of the target.
On 16 minutes it was 2-0 to Kello when after the Winton defence had cleared a free-kick, Scott Wilby hit a speculative drive that cannoned off the bar and as the Winton players stood static, Darren Johnston was the first to react and tapped the ball home.
Winton got a goal back on 21 minutes when a Mark McCann corner on the right was swept home by Scott Weir.
However, a minute later Kello went 3-1 up. A move down the right ended up with the ball being passed to Sam Kerr on the right and his low drive from the edge of the box hit off Robertson's legs but the ball ended up in the back of the net.
Winton kept up the pressure despite this set back and Houston did really well to claim a lovely chipped ball from Crawford on 28 minutes under pressure from Johnstone. Winto had a chance to reduce the deficit on 35 minutes when Weir sidefooted an effort just wide after a Halliday pass.
Just on half time, Clelland was sent through on goal and his early shot was blocked by the head of Houston in the Kello goal but the ensuing challenge meant that the Kello keeper sustained concussion and was unable to continue. The break saw Houston replaced in goal by centre half John Wilson and John Connelly came off the bench to fill the defensive slot.
Winton got a goal back in 55 minutes when a long throw in on the right was not properly dealt with and Mark McCann picked up the loose ball to fire a shot in at the near post which Wilson could only help into the net.
Kris Doolan proved to be a major threat to Winton as he ran and picked up bits and pieces fed to him from Johnston and he mearly got on the score sheet on 63 minutes but fired over the bar.
Doolan again proved to be the danger coming close on 75 minutes but in 85 minutes Winton got their chance to make it level when a loose ball in the box saw Scott Weir hit a shot that cannoned off an arm of a Kello player and the referee was in the right place to award the spot kick.
Substitute Graeme Muir stepped up and slotted the ball home into the bottom corner of the net to give Winton a point and preserve their unbeaten league record.
