Rockware Glass League Cup
LADESIDE made it two wins out of two and although they never hit the heights of last Wednesday against Kilwinning, they more than deserved victory.
In two minutes the first chance came the way of Kilbirnie when Caldwell made a run and played a ball into Kevin Struthers, whose first time effort was well saved by Robert McGoogan.
In 20 minutes recent signing Steven Rosenthall headed over the bar from only eight yards following a corner kick for the hosts.
The home side's pressure was rewarded with a goal eight minutes later with Struthers netting a penalty kick.
Winton levelled in 42 minutes with a goal totally out of the blue. Caldwell shot wide from 16 yards in 62 minutes after a driving run.
Seven minutes later the hosts were back in front. Caldwell dodged past two players and found Struthers who sidestepped inside his man before firing past McGoogan.
