The festive season of giving came early to Lugar as Winton literally gifted their opponents the points by giving away all four goals.

Winton opened well and almost scored within 15 seconds as Hamilton's cross from the left was volleyed past by McAvoy.

The first of the gifts almost resulted in a goal after nine minutes when Jamie Milliken was short with a passback on the heavy pitch and Clapperton latched onto the ball and rounded O'Neill but struck his shot past the far post for the miss of the game.

Tam McClelland turned well in the box on 15 minutes but his shot was always rising. The opening goal came in 18 minutes when David Clapperton was allowed plenty of space in the Rovers box to turn, look and place a curling shot high past Stevie O'Neill.

Another gift fell to Lugar when Wilson stumbled allowing Andy Rae to run in but he too saw his effort go past the post.

The game was flowing well and Adam and McAvoy combined allowing the latter to get a shot in but it went high off the woodwork. Gilmour and Paton got shots from distance in on the Lugar goal but neither troubled goalkeeper Leishman.

The hosts went 2-0 up on 28 minutes when a ball over the top saw Rae get the better of Wilson and this time Rae made no mistake one on one with the Winton keeper.

A minute into the second half a poor clearance from defence was returned with interest as Rovers were caught out and Rae nipped in to slot the ball home for his hat trick and Lugar's fourth.
